As advertised, this is for the 'new' unibody Macbooks with the mini-display port! Simple plug & play preferences with your Mac doing the rest of the work for you! No qualms! Do not be deterred by the non-Apple franchise here; it delivers exactly the same results but at a fraction of the price!

If you've got a current Apple portable and you want to be able to connect it to either a VGA (PC) monitor or a video projector, the chances are you're going to need a VGA adapter to convert from the laptop's Mini DisplayPort to the old VGA "DB15" analogue standard. Apple do sell their own adapter but it costs more than the Neet one.
As virtually everyone else who's bought a Neet product has written, this is a high quality, value-for-money product, delivered efficiently. Even the packaging looks comparable to what you'd get in an Apple Store. Really, the only difference is that the Neet adapter is light grey whereas the Apple one is white. If, like me, you're living in western Europe rather than the UK, Neet don't even charge anything extra for delivery, which is pretty unique.
Again, as other reviewers have mentioned, in the event that you need to contact them, Neet have friendly and responsive customer support.
I'm an IT professional and so it would appear are the Neet guys. Clueless, fly-by-night box-shifters they are not. 10 out of 10.

PLEASE NOTE :: " Mini DisplayPort " is NOT the same as " Mini DVI " !!! :::: Its is extremely common for folks to buy the wrong adapter and need to return or exchange despite the *** warnings *** in the product info above (I guess folks read reviews more than product info) ... so if you are not sure which Mac port you have, please read the following info and also the product info as it may help !!!
As it says in the product description ::: This "Mini DisplayPort" adapter is used to " Connect new generation Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air with Mini Displayport " . This is for newer generation Macs from late 2008 onwards such as the UNIBODY MacBook and MacBook Pro and AIR ... also the newer iMacs.
Most slightly older Macs (Including MacBook, MacBook Pro and Air ... UP TO late 2008) have a different, slightly bigger port called " Mini DVI " and this is NOT the same as " Mini DisplayPort " ... and will not fit.
You can see a close up picture of the actual ports and adapter connection in the 'other' images at the top of the product listing and this will help you check to see if your port matches :::: If you have an older Mac and require the Neet " Mini DVI to VGA adapter " it can be found here :: Neet® - Mini DVI to VGA adapter cable for Apple Mac
There are also a couple of other, less common adapters that Apple used briefly... one is called "Mini VGA" (found on older Macs) and another is called " Micro DVI " (found on the MacBook Air for one year only) ... these are far less common but still get confused. ( Even Apple can give the wrong advise (eg: telling customers that Mini VGA is Mini DVI but an older version so folks go looking for an older Mini DVI which does not exist ))
The bottom line is to be sure and check your port before buying ... and if in any doubt, please contact Neet Cables via ' contact seller ' on Amazon.
This Neet Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter is plug & play, works very well and will be dispatched quickly with fast and friendly email customer support from Neet if needed ... but please check that you are buying the correct adapter first !

This is the bit of kit you need to connect your MacBook pro to a digital projector. But you will also need a PC "male to male" monitor cable. This is not an apple product and is available anywhere. Review writen by a non-technical person. Obviously.
