It works. It plugged in fine. I've got a good Full HD picture. I connected between the dvi converter you get with a mac-mini to the hdmi port on an LG LCD screen. Of course a dvi to hdmi link cannot carry sound, so I send sound separately to the hifi stereo from the headphone socket on on the mac. It all seems good to me.

this product arrived before the time slot on free delivery, is by far the best priced cable and does exactly what it is meant too!... as good as the 50 pound counterparts!! would recommend for sure and would use again if i needed anything they had.

I bought this cable to connect a Mac Mini (G4 generation from 2005 - has a standard DVI interface) to an LCD TV via the HDMI interface so I could use the TV as a monitor. Prior to this, the Mini was connected only as a sound source to an amp. Now I have a new video source and can watch video from iTunes, Youtube and BBC iPlayer, to name but three. The cable is so much cheaper than most on sale but the picture is perfect (the original source determines the quality - iPlayer output is not HD so don't blame the cable for its relative lack of quality); HD content from iTunes is as good as the Mini can output. Save yourself some cash and get this cable instead of something costing 10 times as much.

Needed to connect an Apple Macbook to a HD TV. Used this cable along with an Apple Mini-DVI to DVI cable (as the Macbook has a mini-DVI port). Used a headphone jack to phono cable for the audio and the whole setup works brilliantly. Perfect pictures from the Mac on the TV. Impresive when viewing BBC iPlayer HD recordings over the internet on the TV.
