not bad September 4, 2010 Malcolm Read (uk) very easy to install in windows 7 just connect dongle to usb port and drivers auto install without disc and works through windows media centre.
With windows xp install software first then connect dongle...both worked no problems.
The portable areal you get with it isnt much good, didnt pick up a thing and im only 5 miles away from transmiter.
When connected to outdoor areal it picked up all the freeview channels.
Picture quality is good and sound. The program you get with it is not bad but it doesnt put chennels in the same order as a freeview box and cant find a way to change them, but not much of a problem.
Remote controll is no good unless you sit right next to the usb dongle and if the dongle is in the usb port behind the computer it dont work at all.
Its also a little chunky as it will take up 2 usb ports once its plugged in,so you loose 1 usb port.
Not bad at all though thinking of the size of it compared to a freeview box 4/5
Great picture, shame about the EPG August 31, 2010 chockyb On the plus side, the installation was easy enough (On Windows XP), and the reception is about the same as with other digital tv products I've tried. The picture looks pretty good to me, and the sound is fine too.
But ... the software appears to feature an Electronic Programme Guide. It's just a shame that this works so erratically. Many programmes seem to be missing from the listing, and sometimes there's nothing shown at all for an entire channel. No amount of "refreshing" seems to make any difference. All of which is a nuisance if you want to use the scheduled recording feature (which does work, but it gobbles up disk space!)
Somehow I don't think I'll be retiring my PVR yet.
Climax digital dtv200 August 21, 2010 Mike Works fine with windows xp but failed to get it to work with Xandros linux on my eee pc. I'm not saying it cannot be done, but I gave up in the end.
It is an amazing device. August 6, 2010 Oladiti Animashaun 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can record live tv to my laptop with this device. When I first saw the aerial that came with it, I thought the aerial wont deliver, but I was wrong - the aerial is working perfectly.
The only turn - down about the whole thing is the remote control- It is not working (probably I am the one who doesn't have enough time to know study how it works). In replacement of this, I am using wireless mouse of my computer which equally serve the purpose of a remote control.
Amazing bit of kit August 4, 2010 K Stokes I wasn't expecting very much from this tuner receiver, after all what do you expect for £20, but I was surprised. I ordered this with the idea that I would use it with the existing house aerial but my wife decided she needed the connection I'd got in mind. So I was left using the little aerial supplied with the stick. I thought I would be lucky to get BBC1 but I couldn't have been more wrong and actually I have been able to get every Freeview channel. So absolutely recommended especially if, like me, you live in a strong signal area.
