Product Description
Poor quality, noisy mains power can easily spoil the performance of your hifi and home cinema systems. The Tacima CS929 6-way mains conditioner smooths the mains supply and filters out any RFI (radio frequency interference) creeping in from other electronics such as washing machines, wifi routers, mobile phones and microwaves. This allows your electronics to perform at their best with noticeable improvements in detail and clarity.

this really does work, my home cinema and freeview break up when theres mains interferance ie a light being turned on or off this is a common problem when living in flats especially, i read the reviews for this taciama and purchased one, it arrived fast and does the job! simply plug in and you away no more spikes or freeview break up, very happy would recommend.

5 out of 5 stars Improve the sound of your hi fi   June 19, 2010

I purchased a mains conditioner following advice from my local hifi shop. The Tacima was purchased as it was one of the cheapest available and received good reviews in What HiFi?
I was quite sceptical about how a mains adapter could actually improve sound quality, but was amazed at the difference this made to my mid range set up.
The whole sound stage was transformed and I was hearing notes previously buried in interference.
I cannot recommend these enough.

3 out of 5 stars No difference in my case   May 29, 2010

I should mention I am not an audiophile, so I wasn't really surprised when I didn't notice a difference in audio or video quality. I don't doubt that it works with other setups though. What was worse, the interference from the boiler (when the thermostat turns it on) is still there, despite what some of the reviews made me believe. I guess I should invest in a UPS to stabilize my mains output. In the end, I'm left with a decent mains extension, it wasn't that expensive anyway.

5 out of 5 stars Another converted sceptic   May 10, 2010

Most of the reviews seem to be along the lines of "I didn't think it would work, but it does". This is another one. I've had an ARCAM solo mini with Quad 11L2 speakers for about 9 months now, and while enjoying the improvement from my last midi component system, I was a bit disappointed with stereo imaging and loose bass which had a tendency to drown-out mid-range (which was however beautifully well defined).

No longer! I plugged this unit in and I've now got a system I feel is worth the money I spent on it, with the above problems banished.

5 out of 5 stars does make a difference!   May 9, 2010

Was initially a little skeptical about this product and am always a little untrusting o what hi fi reviews due to sponsorship /endorsement. However I needed an extension lead for my high-end av setup and needed t surge protecting. After reading alot about this I decided to give it a go and while I cannot see a difference in picture quality there is a difference with the audio quality, and doing a blind test it is noticeable. Also has cleared up a very small humming noise when the amp/speakers are on and no music is being played.

Overall I think its very good for the price should be noted thought that the TACIMA is identical to the LINDY just with a different logo on it.
