This Metronic 441816 arrived as promised and was very easy to install and works perfectly on my wall mounted tv. The Receiver hides nicely behind the tv and the magic eye does not look out of place at the bottom of it.

I own an aging Sony analogue RDR-HX510 DVD Recorder which has proved to be a very satisfactory device. However, upon replacing an analogue TV with a Sony LCD TV KDL-32S5500, an issue with connectivity was created when the TV and Recorder were simulaneously switched to their input/output channels. A feedback loop was created resulting in an alarming audio signal, therefore as Sony explained it was nescesary to switch the recorder and TV on according to a specific procedure. In addition to analogue transmitted signals, the recorder can only record digital transmitted channels through the TV signal, which means the recorder can only record the programme being viewed. Not an ideal situation.
The easy to set up Metronic 441816 Digi-Scart-Digital Freeview Receiver plugged in to Line 3 of the recorder resolved my problem. This excellent piece of kit about the size of an average hand held remote control has eliminated much frustration and allows the viewer to watch a programme on TV whilst the recorder receives an alternative direct digital signal to record simultaneously.
