I also purchased this item from John Lewis,(not there fault) but I have the same problem as the last review and intend to return it to John Lewis.If they don't learn about it they will not know how rubbish it is.

Bought from John Lewis. Worked well to start off with but then developed a mind of its own and only recorded those items it wanted to. Called the helpline and told that this is a fault some of the units have. The software needs upgrading but they do not have a fix yet(7 June). Could try changing the unit but they cannot guarantee it will not happen again.
