I cannot write anything good about this item, as I had only had 5 days
& it just stopped working & was returned to Amazon directly without any problem,
free collection, with money refunded, completely hassle free, top marks for that Amazon.

I am very pleased with my sagem freesat.
It does what I want and I have no trouble in understanding what to do, infact it really is simple.
The only negative is that when the machine is off there is a constant noise which can be very irritating when I
don't have any other sound going on.

This is easy to use. It does what I expected from such a receiver & more. I am very pleased with the product & the literature with it; easy to follow instructions in good English. I am sure I will enjoy channel surfing & finding good programmes.

Sagem DTR94500S 500GB HD Satellite Digital TV Recorder with Freesat+ HD was a great buy and would have got the full 5 stars had the remote control menu system been as slick as say a Sky menu system.
The positives first, I just followed the instructions and from taking it out of the box to a fully working system probably took no more than 10 minutes. It had to download some new software as the box was a little out of date, but it did that automatically and then was up and running. It is very easy to record programs and the remote does provide a TV guide plus easy access to recorded programs. Another nice feature is that if you have missed the beginning of a program you can rewind to the beginning and then watch it from the start, even if you haven't selected it for recording, because it makes an automatic temporary recording as you are viewing.
The negatives and the loss of the star are first because, I still haven't been able to work out how to use the favorites option having created a list of favorites. Perhaps it's me but I do have a degree in technology and thought I would be able to work that one out. It is possibly because if you select a list of TV channels, other than through the TV guide, it literally does that, lists the channels and not what programs are on. Hence if I am viewing a favorites list or all channels, it is not much use other than when you already know what is on and just want to change channels. I guess I can keep working on this to see if I am missing something, but even if I have then it is not really very intuitive.
Also compared to Sky, you can press the navigation button to go right and see what program is on, once showing you can keep going through the upcoming programs and go up and down to see what is on other channels. I really like that feature but you can't do that with this set.
That is it though, other than these minor shortfalls this is a great product and I would buy it again. To be fair as well if you have never had Sky you wouldn't know about these features and would probably rate this product 5 stars.

This product does everything it says it's going to do. Can record 2 channels at the same time whilst watching a previous recording and can record one channel while watching another. You do need 2 lines in for this to work properly. I really like it, I never need to miss any of my favourite shows ever again. Delivery really fast, as I had to pay for delivery I went with paying a few pounds more for faster delivery, well worth it. Ordered it one day and I had it up and running a little more than 24 hours later! Great stuff!
