seems to have huge memory. The setting up of recording programmes seems quite painless. The remote control has the usual error of the pause button being minute and concealed above the NSEW circle. When will people realise that you need a BIG pause button visible when the phone rings and interrupts your viewing? Good value for money and you don't have to clutter your house up with blank dvds

It does what we wanted, particularly the ability to record 2 programmes while watching a third live. It's great not to have to fiddle around with video tapes and the picture is excellent.
As people had previously mentioned we did have trouble with the box freezing although that has been cured with the November software update. Also the cover over the bottom controls is a little annoying as these seem to be ones we use quite a lot but overall it is a very good receiver/recorder for the price.

For the first few months the box performed well, but lately we have been having more and more problems with it. These include freezing, very slow response to the remote control, not recording and continuing to record after the supposed end time. Last weekend I had twenty-four hours of BBC2 recorded when I only set the box to record an hour long programme! Now we can no longer trust it, it is time for a replacement - which will not be a Humax!
